If there’s a theme for these classic strips, it’s “little boys acting like assholes”. Katzenjammer Kids was the second oldest comics strip ever and is still in syndication today.

I had reservations about running this unaltered. A lot of old cartoons feature really rascist imagery, and in this case it would have been very easy to just crop out the offending panel. I couldn’t do it. It’s dishonest to pretend those attitudes never existed, and disrespectful to the civil rights activists who worked to change those attitudes. And there’s no way to take it out of Little Nemo, and I’m not skipping Little Nemo for anything. I’ll feature Katenjammer Kids again when I can find better source material, most of what I’ve read is either really funny or just plain interesting to look at.
